I had a wonderful stay at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel. the historic charm and beautiful decor were truly captivating. However, I did encounter a few challenges, particularly with some cleanliness issues and the distance of self-parking. Overall, the amenities and customer service offered a pleasant experience, making it a nice trip.

My clock tower studio room was gorgeous. everything felt new and clean with beautiful furnishings. The comfortable bed and large TV added to the luxury, though I did find the stairs a bit problematic for mobility.

I had a mostly enjoyable stay at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel, with stunning architecture and a range of activities like the light shows and the giant ferris wheel. However, my check-in experience was less than ideal; I faced delays and a lack of communication at that time. Fortunately, my room was spacious and comfortable, which balanced out the challenges I faced during my visit.

Rooms

I stayed in a beautiful, spacious room that felt both cozy and modern, with historic charm. Although my closet door was off the track, it didn't detract significantly from my stay.
Service

While some staff members were friendly and helpful, the check-in process was chaotic, and I encountered a major delay that was stressful. I appreciated the efforts of certain staff, but there was a noticeable inconsistency in customer service.

St. Louis Union Station Hotel is an architectural gem with a rich history, making for a stunning backdrop during my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, but my experience was marred by several issues, including a slower-than-expected check-in process and some room maintenance concerns. Overall, it's a place filled with character, but it has room for improvement in certain areas.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious with a comfortable king bed, but there were some maintenance quirks. The heating didn't quite do the trick, leaving me chilly despite the settings. Plus, the cleanliness could've been better, as I found some stains on the sheets and a backed-up shower drain.
Service
5.0
While the staff were generally friendly, the check-in process felt inefficient, especially since I ended up dealing with trainees who seemed unsure. Also, certain requests weren't handled as smoothly as I would expect for a hotel of this stature.
Location
9.0
Being located in a historic former train station was unique and offered a cool vibe. It's close to downtown attractions and has a Metrolink station on the hotel, which made getting around St. Louis quite easy.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was hit or miss. The breakfast buffet had some good options, but I faced long delays for dinner and my order was not cooked properly. The food didn’t live up to the hotel’s grand reputation.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel features are impressive with beautiful restoration work, but I encountered some operational hiccups like dysfunctional elevators and ice machines. The overall aesthetic is stunning, genuinely reflecting its historic roots.

Location

The location is prime—close to great restaurants and venues like the Enterprise Center. Plus, being in a historic train station added to the overall ambiance of my stay.
Dining

I enjoyed a meal at The Station Grille, where the limited menu offered good options, but some dishes were overpriced for what I received. Breakfast was excellent, though.
Facilities

Facilities like the pool and garden area were closed during my visit, which was a disappointment given the hot weather. On the other hand, the convenience of parking was a plus.

The St. Louis Union Station Hotel has a fantastic atmosphere and plenty of things to do, but my stay had some bumps along the way. While the staff in certain areas provided really good service, I faced delays and difficulties during check-in and an unpleasant experience with room service.
